Applications invited
In order to encourage talented student athletes, a stipend of Rs 600 will be given by the State Government. The Department of Youth Welfare and Sports has invited applications for the same. Application forms are available at the office of the Youth Service and Sports Department, Sir M V Stadium. Filled-in forms should be submitted to the department before January 25. Woman’s body found
A body of a unknown woman’s has been recently found near Kaduvati village on Nandi road, said Circle Inspector Tippeswamy.
The body who was found in eucalyptus grove. The body couldn’t be identified as wild animals had eaten away face and neck of the woman’s body.
The woman is said to be 5 feet tall and is wearing a red nighty and coffee colour sweater and is in the age group of 25 to 30 years.For information contact rural police station SI Gopal Nayak.

Bagepalli Krishnappa, Eddula Subbanna, Meloorappa, Yeluvahalli Krishnappa, Muniyappa, Ravi, Lakshmayya, Nagavenamma, Keshava, Hanumappa (working committee member) have all been elected unopposed, says chief secretary N Venkateshappa.
