'JD(S) has the support of minority groups'
DH News Service, Tumkur:

President of JD(S) State minorities unit Shakeel Nawaz  along with the office bearers visited JD(S) office in Tumkur recently.

He is on a mission to broaden membership base of JD(S) minorities unit as per the instructions of party Supremo H D Deve Gowda. He would tour the entire State for this purpose, said Mr Nawaz.

JD(S) has always worked for the welfare of the minorities. This has to be conveyed to people, he told party workers. The party would never compromise with its ideology.

No caste politics
“Let us not allow communal forces to grow. The onus is on us to ensure this,” he told party workers, calling on them to work towards strengthening the party irrespective of their caste and religion.

“The party does not stand on the strength of any caste. Even in the future it will not resort to caste based politics,” he said.

People of the entire State are now with the JD(S) said party district minorities unit president and Tumkur Development Authority president Sultam Mohammed. “The kind of development that happened in H D Kumarswamy’s tenure is unprecedented.” he said.

JD(S) youth unit president T H Krishnappa felt the need to strengthen all sections of the party including minorities.

Vice president of JD(S) State minorities unit Tahirabanu, Nazir Baig, Manjunath, Balakrishna, G Doddaiah, R Vijayakumar, Puttarudregowda, Chandra Babu, Mallasandra Rajanna, Ravindra Rathod and other leaders were present. Jayanna welcomed the gathering. Guruprakash Ballukaraya proposed vote of thanks.
