At least 46 persons sustained injuries as a bus fell down in the paddy field, beside National Highway-48, near Gottikere in Kunigal Police Station limits.

The incident occurred when a private bus heading towards Bangalore rammed into another private bus which was moving towards Tumkur via Kunigal. Hence, Tumkur bus fell down  in the filed as the driver lost the control, injuring at least 46 passengers.

Police Sub-inspector Siddaraju rushed to the spot and made the arrangements for first aid treatment.
Arrangements were made to send twenty two of the severely injured to Bangalore for further treatment.

 Of the injured,  the condition of Doddamma (45) is stated to be serious. The case has been registered and the investigation is on.
