Various pro-kannada organisations led by District Kannada Sahitya Parishat staged a protest demanding to provide justice for the Kannadigas in recruitment for North-West Railway zone.
The organisations held a rally and also submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner to be forwarded to the Prime Minister.
The rally which started from Gandhi Vana passed through M G Road and culminated at Sub Division office.
They expressed their dissatisfaction over the injustice for Kannadigas while recruiting for ‘D’ group employees, saying that Dr Sarojini Mahishi report and other reports have been neglected.

Kannada Action Committee and others submitted a memorandum to the
district headquarters assistant N Babanna.
