‘Errors in revision of rolls’
Chintamani, dhns: Many voters in ward no. 31 at Timmasandra in Chintamani have alleged that the voters’ list was not being reviesed properly.
The officials have visited only a few houses, so many other voters will not be able to excise their right to vote as their names might not have been enrolled, they alleged.
The officials were supposed to visit each and every house to delete the names of the deceased, transferred, and to add the new names and to carry out voters’ census.
They insisted that the officials follow rules and regulations sincerely to avoid
further confusions in the revised voters’ list.
‘Adopt scientific ways’
Srinivaspur, dhns: People who are involved in animal husbandry should take preemptive steps to vaccinate their animals in order protect them from the diseases, suggested Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department’s taluk Assistant Director Dr Sathyaranayana Rao.
He was speaking at the Veterinary camp jointly organised by Panchayat Committee and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department at Seetareddyhalli village in Srinivaspur taluk.
People should shun superstitious and blind practice and should adopt scientific ways of rearing the animals and should attain greater economic stability, expressed Mr Rao who said that the people should make use of the prevailing government policies.
Veterinary doctors R Nagabhusan Reddy, Sarvesh,Venkatesh, Veterinary Inspectors Ramakrishna, Munivenkate Gowda, and Ramachandrappa and others treated the animals.
In the camp around 150 cattle were given deworming medicines. 50 non milching cows were also treated at the camp along with 20 other cows who were treated for ordinary diseases.
Chickens were also vaccinated to protect them from the Kokkare disease.
