City girl wins national contest
Meghna K, a student of Canara PU College won the second prize (eighth level, D group) in the national-level abacus and mental arithmetic competition held at Nungambakkam in Chennai on December 29.
According to a press release, she was trained in Aloha Learning centre in Hampankatta. She is now eligible to represent India in the International competition to be held in Indonesia in May.
Anniversary celebrations
The 5th anniversary of Mangalore Family Doctors Association will be held at Oddoor Farms at Ganjimutt at 7 pm on January 13. Appointed notary
The Government of India has appointed Advocate Ismail S as notary for Dakshina Kannada district. Mr Ismail has 10 years of practice as advocate in M’lore.
