Rajasthan will have an added attraction to woo tourists this year. Another Palace on Wheels will take them on a journey into the past . The new luxury train is expected to start from September.
A joint venture of Rajasthan tourism and Indian railways, the train to be launched with an estimated expenditure of Rs 39 crores will be more attractive and luxurious than the present one. It will also cover the golden triangle circuit like the existing Palace on Wheels.
Tourism minister Usha Punia said on Friday that the train’s trial run will be held in September and the commercial run from October.
