Gearing up to conduct its first Common Entrance Test (CET) on April 19, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has invited applications for admissions to undergraduate Medical, Dental, ISM & H, Engineering / Technology and Architecture courses in Government, Aided and Private Unaided Minority and Non-Minority colleges in Karnataka. The admissions are for the year 2008-09.
To get the CET-2008 brochure-cum-application forms, II PUC / 12th Standard students - including CBSE, CISE students of Karnataka - should submit a demand draft of Rs 550 for General Merit (GM) and other OBC categories to their concerned schools or colleges. SC, ST and Category-I students should submit a DD for Rs 400, a KEA press release said.
Repeaters and ex-students should also submit DDs to their respective schools or colleges with the same application fee structure.
The DDs should be drawn in favour of the Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore. The DD can be obtained from any scheduled bank.
The last date to submit the DDs to the schools or colleges is January 16. After this, the candidates could collect the brochure-cum-applicaton form on or after February 3, from the same institution where they submit the DD, the release said.
The filled application forms should be submitted to the concerned institutions on or before February 13, without enclosing any documents or certificates.
Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates could obtain the brochure-cum-application forms by submitting a DD for Rs 650, drawn in favour of the Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore, by speedpost only, to the KEA office, before January 18. A self-addressed cloth-lined envelope should also be enclosed.
The brochure-cum-application form will be sent to the address furnished on the envelope.
The filled application forms should be sent to the KEA office by speedpost only, so as to reach before February 19.
