Gowda on appeasement mode
Bangalore, dhns:

In a bid to appease people belonging to Lingayat, Kuruba and the  muslim community, JD(S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda announced reservation in the party tickets for the coming Assembly elections, on Friday.
Addressing the party office-bearers in Bangalore, he said 50 tickets will be reserved for Lingayats, 18 to Kurubas and 20 to muslims. He also added that the JD(S) was a party belonging to all sections of society and not confined to any particular community.
Announcing a two-month-long state -wide campaign from January 18, he strongly defending his decision to pull down the Yeddyurappa Government. Gowda claimed that the BJP leaders’ statement to convert Karnataka into Gujarat had led to its fall.
Stating that the party would field its candidates in all the 224 Assembly seats, Gowda has predicted that the elections would be a multi-party fight.
