Lalitha Naik in SP
Bangalore, dhns:  JD leaders B T Lalita Naik and H K Manjunath Gowda, along with several JD (S) workers, joined Samajawadi Party on Friday. Welcoming them, party president and former chief minister S Bangarappa said the party has been strengthened with the entry of Ms Naik.
“Her entry will make Samajawadi Party stronger and make us grow in working for the backward and oppressed classes.” Party leader Madhu Bangarappa was present.
Ivory seized
Sakaleshpura, dhns: Sakaleshpura police arrested three persons on Friday and seized ivory worth Rs 92 lakh. Arun of Kotrakere and Ansar and Nasir of Horatti were arrested when they were smuggling tusks from Mudigere to Bangalore.
Group meeting
