Lenovo’s Winter Edition notebook
Lenovo has introduced the Lenovo Y410 Snowmountain design, a 'Winter Edition' notebook of its Y410 AUDIO DJ Series. The Lenovo Y410 Snowmountain design notebook , priced at Rs.58,990 (exclusive of taxes), features Audio DJ capability, which allows the user to play music while the laptop is turned off. The 14.1” widescreen notebook, has Easy Capture, a multimedia software application for easy photo editing and security features such as biometric face recognition technology, one touch recovery and longer battery life upto 4 hours .
Indian Bank Q3 net up 61 pc at Rs 307.5 cr
State-run Indian Bank on Saturday registered 61.44 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 307.5 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007 compared to Rs 190.47 crore for the corresponding period last year. Total income increased 36.31 per cent to Rs 1676 crore for the quarter ended December 31, as against Rs 1229.54 crore for the same period last year.
Sterlite wins Rs 140 crore contract from RVPN
Sterlite Technologies Ltd, a major global provider of Power Transmission Conductors, Optical Fibers and Telecommunication Cables, announced on Saturday that it has received a contract from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (RVPN), for manufacture and supply of ACSR Moose Power Transmission Conductors. The contract is valued at approximately Rs 140 crore.
China and Prince Alwaleed to invest in Citigroup
Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Citigroup’s largest individual shareholder, will inject new cash as the largest US bank grapples with heavy mortgage market losses, a newspaper reported on its web site on Friday .
Citigroup shares rose about 2 per cent in extended market trading, quoted the newspaper reports Reuters from New York.
