Kannada Rakshana Vedike will protest on Sunday by laying siege to railway station in Tumkur, said Vedike’s Chief Secretary T E Raghuram.

Alleging railways of being partial in giving jobs to Kannadigas in D group, he said that protest will be held as part of the state wide protest being held in this regard.

He also said that Kannadigas have been neglected even the recruitment of 9000 vacant police jobs which comes under state. The effigy of Railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav will be burnt said Raghuram who demanded that on going recruitment process should be cancelled and urged the people to take part in large protest to pressurise the Central government to give jobs to Kannadigas.
