A driver was killed on the spot when the qualis in which he was travelling along with three other people hit a standing lorry near a petrol bunk on the outskirts of the Tumkur city.  

Abhishek and two  other people were severely injured in the accident which happened on the midnight of Friday near Hebbur.  The deceased  Basavaraj (28) is a resident of Kamakshipalya in Bangalore.

The injured have been sent to Bangalore for the treatment. All of them are residents of Kamakshipalya in Bangalore city and were heading to Tumkur from Kunigal when the accident happened, said police.

Hebbur police Sub Inspector Nagaraj as registered a case and investigations are being carried out.
