Kolar District Cooperative Milk Producer's Societies Union Ltd., (KOMUL) is contemplating on providing incentives to farmers on the occasion of Makara Sankranthi.
On Monday a board meeting will be held and a proper decision will be taken, said President of the Union Kadenahalli Nagaraj at Kolar on Saturday.
He was speaking after inaugurating the one-day special training workshop on Saturday for Secretaries of all Milk Producers Unions organised by State Co-operative Federation, district co-operative Union and KOMUL at Gana Wedding Chowltry at Bagepalli on Saturday.
He requested the farmers to provide good quality milk as there are much demands from abroad for good milk.
Condemned
Manjunatha Reddy, President of KOMUL condemned BJP’s protest against hike in milk prices, which only aimed at giving the profit to farmers.
District Cooperative Union Director C D Gangulappa also spoke.
Bagepalli PLD Bank President Srinivas Reddy said that steps should be taken to uplift some of the Milk Unions which have almost been defunct.
District Cooperative Union President Byalahalli M Govinde Gowda, K Mallappa, Dr P Prabhu were among the other dignitaries who attended the function.
