A meet of JD (S) members was held on Saturday in Kolar to discuss the strategies to be adopted for election campaign which will begin from January 18 from Kurudumale temple of Mulbagal.
Venkatashiva Reddy who spoke on the occasion said that, discipline, being responsible and sincere to party’s decisions are the major qualities that the members of the party have to inculcate. Each member should work towards strengthening the party keeping aside the individual difference of opinion among party members, he stated.
Misinformation
Another leader Srikrishna who spoke on the occasion said that there are major chances that JD (S) will attain majority in the coming elections. Another leader K B Gopalakrishna accused that there have been attempts to portray the party as losing its strength in the state. ‘This is a misinformation campaign against the party. We are sure that the party will get majority in many places such as Mulbagal, Srinivaspur, Kolar, Vemagal, Chintamani, Malur, Bethamangala and KGF too’, he added.
He expressed his hope that Kumaraswamy will again become the Chief Minister in the next election. He also supported the selection of G K Venkatashiva Reddy as the district President.
In the backdrop of former PM and JD(S) Supremo Deve Gowda’s visit to Chintamani, Srinivaspur, Malur, Bethamanagala and KGF, he ordered the members to get the admirers to the venue in the already arranged buses and other vehicles.
As many as 50 buses have been arranged from Malur and the responsibility was handed over to Prakash and Prabhakar, leaders of Malur.
Former MLA of KGF M Bhaktavatsalam, M S Anand, R Dayanad, Banakanahalli Nataraj, Talagavara Rajagopal and others spoke. Leaders and Zilla Panchayat members M Srinivas, Toopalli Narayanswamy, Rajanna, Moorandahalli Gopal, Dr Mohan, Ravi, Subbanna, Sriram, Muniswamy, Muduwadi Srinivas were present.
