Anti-national activities on the Eastern part of the country is increasing and Bangladesh is hatching a conspiracy to divide the country, alleged ABVP National Joint Organising Secretary Surendran.
Speaking at the valedictory of ‘Deshabhakthi sandesha yathre’ organised by the ABVP here on Saturday, he said now we are facing threat from Bangladesh more than Pakistan. If the Centre fails to consider the matter seriously, there is danger of the division of the country once again, he warned.
‘Country divided’
He said in the name of Naxalism and agriculture revolution, the country has been divided. Many cases have proved that Pakistan was responsible for terror activities. All the Muslims in the country are not anti-nationals.
Those who celebrate the victory of Pakistan over India in cricket match are anti-nationals.
‘Values mocked’
Nitte Education Trust Chairman N Vinay Hegde said speaking on values are mocked at in today’s world. A situation has arisen wherein those who have money and power can do anything. The government which can protect the internal security of the country should be formed. In this regard, the student power should unite, he added.
Welcome Committee President Dr U S Krishna Nayak welcomed the gathering. Yathra convenor Harish Acharya delivered introductory remarks. Former minister Nagaraj Shetty, former MLAs Yogish Bhat, Krishna J Palemar, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik among others were present. Prior to the programme, a procession of the ‘Deshabhakthi sandesha yathre’ was taken out which was attended by hundreds of students.
