The residents of the taluk have been requested to offer horekanike for the dedication of Kaala Bhairaveshwara Swamy Temple constructed in Adichunchanagiri with an outlay of Rs 100 crore, said Gunanathaswamy of Adichunchanagiri branch math.
Speaking at a function organised at Venkateshwara Vidya Mandira on Friday, he said over 70,000 students are studying in over 450 institutes under Adichunchanagiri Education Trust. The efforts of 71st peetadhyaksha Balagangadharanatha Swamy for three decades is responsible for the alround development of the Samsthanam.
The dedication ceremony of Kalabhairaveshwara Temple will be organised from February 13 to 28.
Arrangements have been made for devotees to arrive at the temple on February 24. Speaking on behalf of the devotees, farmer Kauli Srinivas said after convening a meeting of devotees, the amount for donation will be decided.
Zilla Panchayat member S N Ramaswamy, K S Kadappagowda, Prajwal, Vajrappa, Sachinmiga, H S Kalasappa, U S Shivappa, Parameshwar, Enesh, Duggappa, Nagraj, Gopal Hegde, Udaykumar, Manjunath Gowda, Duggappagowda, Vajrappa and others were present.
Ekkudhanva Taranath and Mithun of Adichunchanagiri Samsthanam who won the State-level quiz competition organised by Science and Technology Department, were felicitated on the occasion.
