Deepika, a 22-year-old Jain girl has received ‘deeksha.’

Speaking at a press conference organised by Jain Sangha on Saturday, she said if a woman becomes a housewife, nothing can be attained.

To come out of the circle of rebirth, she has chosen the path with the support of her father and mother.

In the present life itself, there are opportunities to do good things and through this one can attain moksha, she explained.

Felicitation

A felicitation function will be organised in her honour and a procession will be taken out along the important lanes in the city on January 13, informed Sangha President Tarachand Sethiya. Deepika, who has completed her PUC, is the daughter of Gauthamchand Punamiya and Santhosha Behen.

She will receive deeksha from Deeksha Daaneshwari Acharya and Gunaratna Sureshwarji at Shankeshwar in Gujarat on January 19.  Jain Temple president Sanghavi Shanthilal Jain, Sanjay and S Jain were present.
