PCB to send advisor
Pakistan Cricket Board is likely to send senior batsman Mohammad Yousuf and their legal advisor to appear before an arbitration panel in Mumbai on January 24 to discuss a petition moved by the rebel Indian Cricket League against the batsman, reports PTI from Karachi.
The arbitration panel headed by a retired judge has declared Yousuf ineligible to play for the official Indian Premier League of the Indian cricket Board as the ICL claims the batsman first signed a contract with them and also took an advance fee before going back on his contract and commitment.
Chopra slips to tied 32nd spot
Daniel Chopra could not maintain the momentum and a poor second round of one-over 71 saw the Indian-born Swede slip to tied 32nd place at the halfway stage of the Sony Open, reports PTI from Honolulu.
Perched at the fifth spot after a sizzling opening round of four-under 66, Chopra needed another strong showing to retain his place in the top 10 but three bogeys on his way back took the wind out of his sails. With a two-day total of three-under 137, Chopra finds a place in the crowd of 16 who share 32nd spot.
After he parred the first five holes, Chopra made back-to-back bogeys but fired an eagle on the par-five ninth to take the turn at level-par. But bogeys on the 11th, 14th and 17th derailed his campaign.

The incident referred to took place in the eighth over of the West Indies’ second innings during the second day of the match at Kingsmead. The charge was laid by the four on-duty umpires Simon Taufel and Aleem Dar, third umpire Brian Jerling and reserve umpire Zed Ndamane.
My image in India is good: Lee
Australian pacer Brett Lee on Sunday rubbished suggestions that the Sydney Test furore has damaged his image in India, asserting a lone bitter instance would not wipe away years of his hard-earned adulation, reports PTI from Melbourne.
"The respect I have for their players and the love I have for their country means that it's definitely not going to have an impact on us going over there and touring, whether it's to play cricket or to do work with sponsors or whatever," Lee told 'The Age'.
"For me, I'm treated so well over there and I'm very thankful for that. I don't think anything will change. I try to do everything in my power to keep a good relationship with people in India," he added.
