Almost a week after Harbhajan Singh’s controversial ban, it will be the turn of Australian spinner Brad Hogg to appear before the Match Referee for a disciplinary hearing at Perth on Monday.
Hogg is accused of abusing Indian captain Anil Kumble and vice-captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni during the team’s second innings in the acrimonious Sydney Test.
The charges against Hogg have been brought by Indian team manager Chetan Chauhan under Level 3 of the International Cricket Council’s Code of Conduct.
Mike Procter of the Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees will conduct the hearing. The alleged offence has been reported under paragraph 3.3 of the ICC Code of Conduct.
