Union minister Oscar Fernandes said former deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah will be given a ‘suitable’ post within the party at the earliest.
Fernandes, who was in town to participate in an event said the Congress high command has already decided to give better posting soon, but it is being delayed because of AICC President Sonia Gandhi’s ill health. “An announcement regarding this issue will be out soon,” he revealed.
He said polls will be held under State Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge’s leadership and a decision on restructuring KPCC, as sought by state party leaders, will also be done, he added.
