As the State is getting ready for Assembly polls all major political parties are using different methods to prove people their secular credentials. Yatras have been one of the popular approaches and the District Congress unit has organised a yatra on January 15 to seek blessings of various religious leaders.
Hindu-Muslim
Yatra will begin in the morning. At 10.15 am a team of party leaders will first visit Siddaganga mutt. The team members will seek blessings of Sri Shivakumar Swamiji of the mutt.
Later the team will go to Kesaramadu Dargah and seek blessings of Muslim religious leaders. In the afternoon, the team will visit Adichunchanagiri and seek Balagangadhar Swamiji’s blessings, said district Congress committee in a press release.
All prominent party leaders and party workers will take part in the blessings yatra.
