Police have arrested two persons on charges of manufacturing fake spirit in the town.

Inspector R N Vasudev raided the unit on the directions of DySP Paul S Verma.

Santhosh (23) and Jeevan Naika (22) are the arrested. They were reportedly preparing spirit in a house at Ashraya layout near Galihalli Cross.

Police have seized fake spirits of a few brands, bottles and labels of Excise department worth Rs 25,000. Two other accused are absconding, the police said.
