Canadian auto cos for tech tie-ups

Canadian automobile firms are interested in transferring know-how in the field of hybrid technology and fuel cells to Indian firms.


 
“We want to capture the emerging automobile sector in India with our innovative products for OEM’s and car manufacturers. Canadian firms are interested in doing business with Indian firms in the filed of hybrid technology and fuel cells,” Trade Commissioner, Consulate General of Canadian High Commission Gurbans Sobri said on the sidelines of Ninth Auto Expo being held here.

Slew of services

 “Auto firms from Canada are exploring business opportunities in the field of transfer of technology in sophisticated areas of auto industry to Indian firms,” Canadian Auto Firm President & Chief Executive Officer Kal Chakraborty observed. “Canadian auto firms are also offering services like new software development for B2B sector in Indian auto industry,” he added. For the first time as many as 14 automobile firms from Canada are participating for the first time in the Indian Auto Expo. 

“Although its our first time we have already received almost 150 business enquiries including talks with Bosch and TATA Motors, CSQR President & CEO Kal Chakraborty said.
