Rajanna (28) and Somashekar (30) who were on duty were crushed to death on Sunday. After the postmortem the bodies were handed over to the families.
On Monday, Peenya police inspector C J Rangaswamy wrapped up the issue saying, “We are investigating the case.’ When asked to elaborate, he told Deccan Herald, “Actually, we need not take up the case. Anyway, keep calling. Lets us see, how the case unfolds.”
However sources said that the jurisdictional police are playing the middlemen’s role in striking a deal with regard to the compensation.
Meanwhile, a team of officials belonging to the labour department –– Factories and Boilers Department –– inspected the factory premises. They collected some records and took them to their possession.
