MUDDAHANUME GOWDA FIRES SALVO
Cong vs BJP: Battle continues
DH News Service, Tumkur:
Senior Congress leader of Tumukur and former legislator of Kunigal S P Muddahanume Gowda lamblasted the BJP leadership for the very first time on Tuesday at the Congress meet in Tumkur.

Speaking at a press conference the leader took the offensive and said that the BJP leadership was arrogant because of the money power they enjoyed that was accumulated by very questionable means and therefore were making derogatory about his party and personal remarks about him as well.

As already reported, a BJP leader has remarked that Muddahanume Gowda was unable to get people for his meets and therefore conducted them on the fair days to gain advantage of the huge numbers to pretend a show of strength.

Money power

“ Where do they get the money power to make such personalised remarks? The Congress party has a history that is more than a century old but even then I donot have a lot of money to show off. Therefore I got to places where people gather and to educate them about the principles and ethics of the party and what I stand for. “The BJP meanwhile arranges for alcohol, meat and other unacceptable things to attract people to its meetings. They are bringing out false pictures to prove their claim that the workers from other parties are joining hands with them” he said.

The leader however added that those people who had left the Congress party to join the BJP would return to them once the elections came closer.

He also took pot shots at the former legislator H Ningappa who has commented about him and said that the former leader did nothing about the lift irrigation project even when he was in power and still sang the same tune about it. Hemanth Kumar, Vijaya Kumar, Hanumanthaiah and Ranganath were present on the occasion.
