Sugunendratheertha Bhaktha Vrinda has flayed the media reports that the Scholars meet said to have been held on Sunday afternoon unanimously agreed to oppose the issue of Puttige Seer Sugunendratheertha Swamiji offering rituals and pooja to Lord Shree Krishna.

A release from the Vrinda Secretary Vishnu Prasad said that Puttige seer had received the invitation for the meet on Sunday evening due to, which it was not possible for him to be present at the meet, which was held in the afternoon.

Calling it a pre-planned conspiracy, the release stated that such vindictive engineering were placed even during a similar meet held on Nov 28, 2007. During that meet, Puttige seer who was in Delhi was called by one of the Vidwans over the phone right at the midnight and was asked to fly to Udupi.

Mr Prasad said that after that there have been several such instances where Puttige Seer was purposely made a victim to malicious practices.

The release stated that though they were optimistic that the discussions under the leadership of Uttaradi Math Pontiff Shree Sathyathmatheertha will yield fruits, they suspect that the actions of Pejawar Math seer will lead to disasters.

Mr Prasad said that Pejawar Math seer is not taking into consideration the fact that there are thousands of devotees who are for Puttige seer taking up rituals of Lord Krishna. Holding Pejawar Seer responsible for the future consequences, the members have stated that stands such as of Pejawar seer will only further entangle the issue rather than doing any good to the society.

“It is quite astonishing and disheartening that Puttige Seer is being subjected to anguish by one of the seers.

Illegal meetings, forging the signatures and false publicities will not bring any positive results,” stated the release, asking Pejawar seer to be reasonable in the issue.
