Recently I read that chief justice of Karnataka summoned the chief engineer of Karnataka government responsible for the maintenance of the road from Virajpet to Kuttupole. We have to congratulate the chief justice for the initiative he has taken in this regard. The road from Virajpet to Kuttupole is in a worst condition;no human being can travel on that road.
Four or five years back the road was closed for repair and a huge sum was spent on that road. Now, we cannot see any jelly or tar (Bitumen) on this road -it exhibits the standard of engineers' skills. The concerned chief engineer, executive engineer, overseers, contractors are to be thrown out of the service, and condemned.
Are our engineers and contractors not capable of making a good road? We are at a loss to understand why the people are tolerating this kind of condition.
