Cops’ painting leaves people panting
Bangalore, dhns: One can sympathise with the traffic cops whenever there is a traffic jam in the City. But on Tuesday evening, they were a cussed lot, as vehicles piled up on Mysore Road, near tollgate, Guddahalli bus stop and Bapujinagar stretch.
The Reason: Traffic cops choosing the festival day to paint the 'stop/zebra crossing' signs.
Temporary barricades ruled the road and vehicles were forced to stop and manoeveur within the available space.
As a result, for nearly two hours, between 4 pm to 6 pm, there was chaos on the entire stretch of Mysore Road.
Unable to withstand the pressure of honking, the traffic police were forced to throw open the temporary barricades that had been set up.
Within minutes, hours of hard work went down the drain after thousands of vehicles went over the new coat of paint.
