The district leaders of Congress visited Siddaganga Mutt and sought the blessings of Siddaganga Seer Dr Shivakumar Swamiji on Tuesday in the backdrop of the upcoming elections.
Prominent leaders included Dr G Parameshwar, D B Chandre Gowda, former MP G S Basavaraju, district Congress President Shafi Ahmad, District Congress spokesperson Hemanth and other leaders met the Seer on morning and performed pooja at the Uddana Shivayogigala Gadduge.
The Congress will hold a people’s movement on February 2.
The leaders later visited a Dargah at Kesarumadavu and also visited Sri Chennakeshavashwara temple.
Later, the members participated in the Gangadhareshwara shandy which was held at the town and then visited Adichunchanagiri Mutt and sought the blessings of Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji.
Former MLA R Narayan, members of KPCC, Block Congress Presidents, Presidents of various units, APMC president, members, CMC members, members of TMC and other Congress party workers were present.
