Mangalore University women emerged triumphant in the all-India inter-university ball badminton championship.
In their final match held at Hyderabad on Sunday, Mangalore Varsity got the better of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, to take the title after a gap of 12 years.
After ensuring a direct quarterfinal berth with last year’s semifinal performance , the Mangalore women knocked out Calicut University to enter the last four stage.
In the semifinal league, Mangalore Varsity downed Anna University and Madras University and finally got the better of MG University.
