President and Vice-Chancellor of University of Waterloo (UW) Dr David Johnston visited St Aloysius College in Mangalore on January 13. He was on a good-will visit to the College and also to hold discussions regarding the twinning programmes with St Aloysius College and UW.
UW is one of the world famous universities for Actuarial Science programme and Computer Science and Engineering with 30,000 students enrollment. The University is contemplating of having twinning for such a programme with AIBA.
Dr Johnston had discussion with Director of AIBA Fr Denzil Lobo and also Director of Laboratory of Applied Sciences Fr Leo D’Souza. Principal of St Aloysius College Fr Swebert D’Silva was also present.
Dr Johnston also paid a visit to Aloysian Boys Home at Kotekar in Ullal and interacted with children there. An Alumnus of St Aloysius College and also an Industrialist from USA Victor Pais, was present for the discussions. Later, he visited the site for the new campus for Management and Information Technology at Beeri in Ullal, informed a press release.
