Cricket tourney in Bangarpet
Bangarpet, dhns: Youth should imbibe passion for sports along with their curricular activities, said President of Labourers’ Association Kapali Shankar.
He was speaking at the valediction of Ambedkar cricket tournament in Bangarpet on Tuesday. He also distributed prizes to the winners of the tournament.
The winners were awarded Rs 3,000 cash and the runners were given Rs 2,000. BJP taluk secretary Prasad, Satish, Venkatesh, Gunda, Satya, Tamilian, Anand and team leader Jaiganesh were present.
Power theft; fine collected
The Bescom vigilance squad cleared 52 power theft cases in December and collected Rs1,49,855 from the culprits.
In January, 56 more cases have been identified and a total fine of Rs 1,97,751 has been imposed.
The vigilance team had comprised the following officials and staff: Inspector Ashok, AEE M Pratap, staff Prasad, Jagadish, Ramakrishnappa, Ashwathanarayana, Anjanappa and Somashekar.
