Umesh Shebe is an artist whose inspiration in life is drawn from his passion for art. Through his solo exhibition Pratibimb: Reflections of Life, Umesh is presenting his collective work of drawings, sketches, abstract paintings and modern art on February 1 and 2 at Alliance Francaise. He has done his Diploma in Applied Art (GD Art) from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya College in Pune in 1994. Umesh has been working in the advertising and IT industries in the areas of graphic design and multimedia animation.
Umesh believes that the truth about life can only be seen in the villages and through the lives of the villagers.
Among various awards and appreciations for his work, Umesh has also received the Poster Competition Award for AIDS Awareness from the State of Maharashtra. Umesh has been involved in various social causes and activities, including Mekhala Jagruthi which works for the cause of the underprivileged children. He was born in 1971 in the Vidharba region of Maharashtra.
