The show will be held at the glass house and Dr M H Marigowda memorial hall in Lalbagh.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday chairman of the society Dr K Ramakrishnappa said Ikebana, Indian floral art, vegetable carving, Dutch flower arrangements, Thai-art and dry flower arrangements are the main attractions of the show.
Mr Ramakrishnappa said as many as 1,636 exhibitors will take part in the contests to be held as part of the show.
The department has taken security measures to avoid any untoward incidents during the exhibition. Four close-circuit cameras will be installed in the glass house. Metal detectors will be installed at the entry point, as per the instructions from the police department.
Parking
The department has made arrangements for parking at Lalbagh South Gate and Double Road entrance. As much as 10 acre land at the south gate has been levelled for parking.
However, movement of heavy motor vehicles such as bus, truck tempo has been barred within the limits of Lalbagh.
Special arrangements have been made to park such vehicles at Hombegowdanagar stadium, Hopcoms premises and National College grounds. Morning walkers have been appealed not to bring their vehicles inside the park.
