About 1,200 students will graduate from the institutions attached to the People’s Education Society (PES) group at its 5th graduation ceremony on January 19. The event will come alive at the PES Institute of Technology (PESIT) campus here.

VTU had granted autonomy status to PESIT for 2007-08. The graduates will be awarded post-graduate degrees, including MSc, Micro, BT, MBA, MCA, M Pharma and degrees that include BE, Pharmacy, BSc, BHM, BCA and BCom besides polytechnic streams.

PES Institutions founder chairman Prof M R Doreswamy said 32 toppers will be awarded gold medals. National Institute for Advanced Studies Director Dr K Kasturirangan will be the chief guest.
