In his request, he has stated that, in the villages, quality power is supplied for only three hours and six hours will have single fuse power. The rest 15 hours there will be no power at all, which has caused a great problem for the public, he added.
Sericulture and other crops are being effected also, he said.
The power supply companies should provide power equally to towns and villages and has condemned the power supply companies being partial towards town regions.
He has asked the Governor to supply power for six hours quality power at night and six hours power during the day.
Though the taluk has six distribution centres, the taluk has been deprived of regular power supply, he said adding that, if power is not supplied within 15 days, a dharna would be staged in front of the office of the BESCOM.
