Come January 21 and ‘Soundarya Lahari,’ a kannada serial, with family sentiments as its theme will unfold on your TV screens. Produced by Time Line Creations, ‘Soundarya Lahari’, is all about family values and sentiments.

The serial speaks of the role of elders in keeping the values alive especially at a time when relationships are taking a backseat, thanks to the priority being attached to work.  Shankaracharya’s ‘Soundarya Lahari’ forms the basis of the soap. “The serial suggests how one should prove one’s existence and leave a mark before passing away,” says Master Hirannaiah, who plays an important role. Keerthi Raj, the bad man of Sandalwood is a part of the venture. The cast also includes KSL Swamy, Nithin of ‘Kumkuma Baghya’ fame, Santhosh, Nishchita Gowda, Namratha, Sudha Narasimharaju and Bhavyashree Rai among others. The serial, which promises to come with many twists and turns, is directed by Bukkapattana Vasu, who became a household name with ‘Kumkuma Baghya’.

Harish has written the dialogues and M Kumar is on the camera. ‘Soundarya Lahari,’ will be aired on Kasturi channel between 10 and 10.30 pm, from Monday to Friday.
