'BJP came to power thanks to HDK'
DH News Service, Koratagere:

It was because of former chief minister H D Kumarswamy that BJP came to power in the State, said Kolar JD(S) leader Dr Madhusudan Seethappa.

“BJP is now talking about betrayal by JD(S). With whose support did it come to power? If Kumaraswamy had not supported BJP, it couldn't even have dreamt of coming to power in the State,” he said.

Participating in the JD(S) workers’ meet organised at Kyamenahalli at Holavanahalli hobli, Koratagere taluk, Mr Madhusudan accused BJP of creating communal violence in the country in the name of Lord Rama.

“If they are given a chance to rule the State they will again trigger communal violence in the name of Datta peetha and Edga maidan,” he remarked.

“JD(S) is being referred to as father-sons’ party. Is the same  not true about Congress too? In fact, power is being transferred in the Congress for generations together,” he added. He praised H D Deve Gowda and H D Kumarswamy for the “work they have done for the benefit of farmers.”

Former minister Chennigappa commended the work that Mr Kumaraswamy accomplished during his tenure as chief minister. “He worked for the poor and the downtrodden. He provided good roads and drinking water to many villages. He provided loan waivers to farmers. In fact, people of the State will decide who betrayed whom in the forthcoming elections,” he observed.

Taluk JD(S) president L Rajanna, industrialist Shreyas, Holavanahalli hobli JD(S) president Laxminarasimhaih, ZP member Chaluvarayaswamy, Siddharaju, Sopur Venkatarayappa, taluk panchayat member D Rangayya, kengarangayya, gram panchayat president Rathnamma, Shantamma, Karakalaghatta Hanumantharayappa, Padmanabha Sresthi and other leaders took part. Several leaders from other parties joined JD(S) on this occasion.
