South Zone Cricket tourney

Tumkur,dhns: Tumkur university cricket team will participate in the South Zone University-level cricket tournament which will be held in Chennai starting from January 26 to 31.

Government Degree College student S S Vinay, II B.com has been selected for the team to strengthen the bowling attack, said a release.

Vinay is the son of Vysya Cooperative Bank, Madhugiri branch manager S K Sridhar.

Free coaching classes

Free coaching classes and guidance will be given to the candidates who are appearing for the competitive examinations to the posts of FDC and SDC. The examination will be held in June, said Professor T Gangadharaiah.

The classes will be held under the aegis of Government Arts College and District Employment Exchange Centre.

Interested candidates can obtain the applications from Government Arts College and submit the filled in applications before January 21, said a  release.

Weekend  classes for  B.A and B.com students will begin from January 26 in Government Arts College. All students are requested to attend the classes which will be held on every Sunday, second Saturday and holidays, said Prof T Gangadharaiah.
