Auto-sharing
Bangalore may soon wake up to a totally new way of auto ferrying.

I had a strange experience yesterday. I was at the junction of Museum Road and Residency Road waiting for an auto which I had sighted, unfortunately stuck at the signal. I had just about started to think my good luck on getting autos on time never seem to happen, another auto from the opposite side came and stopped near me. I felt great! There were two ladies and I obviously waited for them to get down. They did but one wanted to get back to the auto with me. I refused to agree to this but, the autowallah and the lady told me that she (the lady) would get down at the next signal which is at the Brigade Road junction. I found this extremely annoying and risky. I just thought the best was to wait and watch. I had to go to Koramangala and expected the auto to take the right turn. Instead, he drove straight. When I screamed at him, he stopped at the agreed stop(Brigade Road signal) and the lady sitting next to me got down and paid him the full fare. He had earlier gotten full fare from the lady who got down where I boarded the auto. I finally got down at Koramangala and paid the auto FULL FARE. His meter was up by 15 %. When I confronted the autowallah as to why he did such a thing, the only thing he said was "adjust maadikolli, madam"

So like in Mumbai you share a taxi, in Bangalore share an auto!  Bangalore may soon wake up to a totally new way of auto ferrying.
