JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda on Saturday slammed the doors for estranged leaders now trying to mend fences and said the party tickets will be given only to loyal workers and “not to those who keep extending the dates,” in an obvious reference to M P Prakash camp.
Addressing the party workers of Rajajinagar Assembly constituency here, he advised his son Kumaraswamy and State Party President Merajuddin Patel to learn from the past experiences and choose the right candidates.
Both leaders, Gowda said, will be part of the core team to shortlist party candidates for the coming elections. Some members in the Prakash camp, who have not got assurance from the Congress on tickets, are said to be mulling over returning to the parent party.
