The deputy commissioner has informed in a press release that the cultural programmes being organised as a part of Zilla Utsav will be held for a month’s time and the entrance to these events will be free. People who would like to attend the cultural programmes can enjoy them, without having to pay the entrance fees with immediate effect, he said.
For the public
Apart from this, the deputy commissioner has made another arrangement for the benefit of the public. Since, not all the stalls have come up at the exhibition and the amusement park, for a period of three days, beginning from Sunday onwards, the visits to these two is also free of cost. There will not be any entrance fees collected for these two for three days time.
However, after a period of three days, when all the stalls would have come up, entrance fees will be collected from the public and the public have also not opposed it, the DC has added.
After a period of three days, a separate entrance will be constructed for the exhibition.
Those who will visit these two, will have to pay an amount of Rs 10 as entrance fees. However, there will not be any fees collected for the cultural programmes, Mr S R Umashankar, who is also the chairman of the District Utsav Committee, has stressed.
