Anniversary celebration
Air Hostess Academy (AHA) on January 16 celebrated their ten year anniversary with Ambika Soni, the minister of Tourism and Culture, unveiling ‘Winning Strategies: Serving with a Smile’, a handbook on building successful careers in aviation and hospitality management authored by Sapna Gupta (founder and director of AHA).
AHA, pioneers in aviation and hospitality training in India and as the largest provider of skilled manpower pool to the industry, dedicated the book to aspiring students and the author opined, “Through this book I have attempted to share the knowledge and experience that I have gained over the years with youth aspiring to carve a career in the booming aviation and hospitality sector.”
Published in an interesting and interactive format, complete with snap exercises, easy to do self-administered psychometric tools and survey instruments, the book highlights aspects of soft skill training in the service industry. Currently reaching out to approximately 8000-10, 000 students across 32 centres in India, AHA is now poised to increase its presence by opening 100 learning centres in the next five years.
Yoga accomplishment
Ankitha M Gopal, student of SGS International Yoga and Research Institute, currently pursuing I P U C in Sri Bhaghavan Mahaveer Jain College, has won the first prize in the yogasana competition at the 15th International Yoga festival organised by the department of Tourism of the Government of Pondicherry from January 4 to 7.
