According to a press release from Excise Joint Commissioner, the bars had stocked illicit liquor for selling it to the customers. A case has been registered under Karnataka Excise Act. Based on a complaint by the excise department, DC ordered for the cancellation of the licenses of these bars.

Driver killed
A lorry driver was killed and two others were injured when a lorry turned turtle at Nadugallu near Subrahmanya.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Vijayakumar (28). A case has been registered.

Body found
The body of a person who jumped into the Nethravathi river on Monday was traced at Thotabengre estuary on Tuesday.

According to police, the body has been identified as Deepak (36), a resident of Jeppu Bappal. It was said that the deceased left the house on Monday morning and called home to tell that he is jumping from the Nethravathi bridge. This created panic among the relatives and they began searching for the body. However, the body was traced on Tuesday.

A case has been registered.
