Naxal affected area road to be developed
DH News Service, Koppa:

The 20.24 km long Kachige-Meguru, Bendehaklu road which connects the naxal affected Menasinahadya village will be built under Gram Sadak Yojna with an expenditure of Rs 5.50 crore, said former MLA D N Jeevraj.

Speaking at a press meet organised to greet a prosperous new year, he said with the efforts of MP D C Srikantappa, tenders have been called for various road construction works.

The 12.24 km long Ramanahadlu to Davanakke road will be developed at a cost of Rs 3.22 crore and the 9.34 km long Gadigeshwara-Hunasekoppa-Kattinamane road will be constructed with an outlay of Rs 2.34 crore, he informed. An amount of Rs 85 lakh has been earmarked for the naxal affected 3.45 km long Sirimane-Chattamane road.  In the next stage, the Kalasapura-Kalkere, Addada-Surya Temple road, B H Kaimara-Edagere and Hodeyala Kanive road construction work has been sanctioned.

Development works have received a setback under the Governor’s rule and elections must be held soon as the Congress party wants a postponement of elections to involve in back-door politics, he said.

Details regarding property has been submitted to the Lokayukta and the same will be also be submitted to the election commission. The confusing statements being made by opposition parties indicates their hopeless condition. He challenged the opposition parties to make responsible criticisms and added that these parties are raising objections, keeping elections in mind, while they had kept mum when they were in power.

He claimed that BJP will win a majority, just as the development agenda of Narendra Modi worked wonders in Gujarat.

Zilla Panchayat member S N Ramaswami and BJP Yuva Morcha president Hosur Dinesh were present.
