CPM patriarch Jyoti Basu on Tuesday dismissed the immediate possibility of formation of a Third Front as an alternative to the Congress and BJP.
“The BJP’s steady rise and the electoral reverses of Congress have forced us to support the Congress-led UPA. Despite this, I don’t see a third front formation now,” Basu told reporters after the state secretariat meeting.
