Independent down Sporting
Bangalore Independent edged past a fighting Sporting Youth 3-2 in the ‘C’ Division football league at the 515 ABW grounds in Bangalore on Tuesday. Murali was on target twice in the 16th and 30th minutes of the match and Narayanan (27th) scored the other goal for the winners, while Sridhar (fourth) and Thirupal (51st) reduced the margin for Sporting.
City Club beat Young Muslims 3-1. G Arun(19th and 33rd) and Kaushik (69th) scored for City while Anup (50th) netted one for Muslims.
State amateur body building
Hercules Multi Gym, JP Nagar, is organising 55th State Amateur body building Championship on January 12 and 13 at Lakshmi Venkateswara Kalyan Mantap.
The competitions are open to all the affiliated clubs, gyms and districts of Karnataka Amateur Body Builders Association and will be conducted in four height groups such as short, medium, tall and supertall. For details, contact K Venkatesh - 9448510078.
