Deadline continues over paryaya issue
Udupi, DHNS:
The deadlock over performing Krishna pooja during Paryaya continued with the Puttige seer walking out of the meeting held at Govinda Kalyana mantappa at Ajjarakadu past after mid-night on Tuesday.

The deadlock over performing Krishna pooja during Paryaya continued with the Puttige seer walking out of the meeting held at Govinda Kalyana mantappa at Ajjarakadu past after mid-night on Tuesday.

Sources said there were heated exchanges between Pejawar Seer Vishwesha Theertha Swamji and Puttige seer Sugunendra Thirtha swamji. After an hour-long meeting, Puttige seer walked out of the meeting and announced he would hold a press conference and disclose everything on Wednesday morning.

The Pejawar seer is understood to have tried to convince the Puttige seer on the issue and told him the decision has to have the approval of other six seers also. Puttige seer is understood to have reiterated he would perform Krishna pooja even if there is opposition from other seers.

Interestingly, the meeting was held at a choultry and not in any ashta mutts.

Earlier, a priliminary meeting was held at Pejawar Mutt under the leadership of Pejawar Mutt seer Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji resolved to convince the Puttige Mutt seer to follow paryaya tradition.

The meeting was attended by senior seers of Adamar, Palimar and Kaniyur Mutts and Pejawar Mutt junior seer.

Pejawar swamijee was talking about eliminating untouchability recently in Nov/Dec.07 for Human rights day.
It is nice to give speech and get claps. He does not allow his OWN sect Swamijee of PuttigeMutt to perform Pooja ? How about other Castes to enter and do POOJA to remove untouchability? or Any other sect Brahmin can perform ?
Will it happen ? Never. It is a stunt.People are playing with religion in Politics and Politics in religion?
