Implement Yeddyurappa's projects, Guv told

Governor's rule has failed to implement the projects announced in the previous budget presented by former deputy chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.

They should make an honest attempt in implementing it, said BJP activists here on Monday.

 Yeddyurappa had implemented people welfare programmes but the Governor’s rule has completely failed to implement it, they added.

Mr Yeddyurappa had announced old age allowance, widow allowance, Sandya Suraksha allowance, Bhagyalakshmi Project ,  physically challenged allowance, loan waiver scheme in the budget.  But, the Governor’s  rule is delaying over the implementation of  it, they alleged. Yeddyurappa ‘s projects are in favour of poor people. The authorities concerned should make an honest in implementing the projects, they said.  They submitted d memorandum to deputy commissioner Navin Kumar later.

BJP leaders Begli Siraj, K V Jagadishwrachari, Urbagalu Sreenivas, Venkataram, Madhusudhana, C Venkatesh, D Somanna, Shankar, Dobhi Shankar, Papegowda, Shivakumar, Sukanya, Chalapati, K S Rajendra, Narayanaswamy and others were present on the occasion.

Shidlaghatta
  Taluk BJP Unit activists staged dharna  against Governor’s anti-people policy in front of taluk office  here on Monday.

The protesters alleged that  the policy of Governor’s rule is against people.  Development works are not taking place in the state. Corruption is evident in the state. Moreover, common man can’t able  to approach officials, they added.

The budget presented by Yeddyurappa in the previous government was a boon to common man. The problems regarding the distribution of BPL cards are not yet over. People are in trouble as one man’s  rule can be found in the state. Governor should respect the democracy by going for elections, they said.     BJP District Yuva Morcha President C V Lokesh, Taluk President Damodar, B N Pillaiah, Raghu, Maksud Hussain, Khanderao, Neelachandra, Manjula, Rajanna, Tyagaraju, Rajamma, Munikrishna and others were present on the occasion.

Bangarpet
 The Governor should see to it that the numerous welfare programmes initiated by the former coalition government are implemented immediately, said former legislator B P Venkatamuniyappa, leading a protest rally on Monday at the Bangarpet bus stand.

The governor, who is incharge of the administration of the State, during the imposition of the President’s rule is delaying the implementation of numerous developmental programmes, leading to the suspicion that he is partisan towards one political party, he added.

There should be an immediate transfer of power to the local bodies and also the grant allocated for the implementation of the Nanjundappa report should be sanctioned soon. Also, the Sandhya-Suraksha scheme needs to be implemented at the earliest and the construction work of Vidhana Soudha at Belagavi needs to be taken at once. Moreover, relief needs to be provided to those afflicted under the rehabilitation programme, he observed. Funds need to be sanctioned at once to the Yaragulu scheme, intended to provide drinking water to the three taluks. Also, the discrepancies in the ration cards distribution needs to be corrected and the farmers need to be given loans from the PSD bank.

Artificial scarcity
Moreover, the artificial scarcity of fertilisers needs to be contained at once and the fertilisers needs to be made available to the farmers at their convenience, he added. Also, present at the rasta roko were Taluk BJP president B Hosarayappa, City unit president B N Rajashekar were present on the occasion.
